Cecil County, Maryland is located at the top of the Chesapeake Bay in the most northeastern part of the state of Maryland. It is bordered on the North by Pennsylvania, east by Delaware, south by Kent County, Maryland, and west by Harford County, Maryland.
Cecil County Public Schools operate all public schools in the County. The system is divided into Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle (Grades 6-8), and High (Grades 9-12) Schools. There is also a School of Technology at the High School level. There are 17 Elementary, 6 Middle, and 6 High Schools operated by the public school system. There is an elected Board of Education and School Administration which oversees the operation of the schools.
